Also similar to the Gundam designs in Hathaway, the rival Gundam in Sentinel (the Mk. V) is fairly warped and villainous, it has these sharper edges and exaggerated features that make them look kind of *wrong*

Sentinel is one of my favorite examples (shocking, the Sentinel slut likes something from Sentinel) cause it’s basically just a bunch of traitorous Feddie soldiers betraying a prototype to a bunch of Titan remnants, and they repaint the Gundam in their new colors.

I think it’s fun to have a rival Gundam if it’s an every now and then sort of thing. Since it doesn’t happen much in a lot of the core UC works, when it does happen like in Zeta, Sentinel, or Hathaway it’s a cool little thing.

Heartbroken that, per his social media accounts, Drew Struzan has left us. His poster and album art was quite simply shorthand for imagination for countless young people.

E.T. Adventure poster, 1990. I still have one of these hanging in my childhood bedroom.

Star Wars Special edition triptych, 1997. I remember seeing all of these in the paper as each film was re-released and just felt a burst of energy those mornings.
