Re-doing my intro post! I'm Elizabeth. I'm a Melbourne based writer who does everything from narrative to dialogue to localisation. I also put pictures of my butt on the internet, and I'm a singer in my free time (mostly jazz.) I have no shame. I also collect 50's/60's Las Vegas stuff. Minors DNI.

I know mindfulness and meditation can be helpful for breaking cognitive patterns/spirals in a lot of disorders but bipolar is NOT one of them. It's one of the 100% chemical ones. I literally take medication that's derived from a fucking METAL for it lmao

Kind of shocking how someone otherwise super informed about mental health during/after pregnancy (she was able to answer all my questions about what my care is going to look like because I'm at high risk of post-natal psychosis) seemed to think I can meditate my brain into working right.

Had my pre-admission appointment at my maternity ward and the midwife handling my case was like 'oh, you have bipolar disorder? How are you managing that?' I explained my medication and she asked 'I really recommend trying meditation.' It's a chemical imbalance that I have no cognitive control over.

im pretty convinced the blackpink girls were made in a lab. i dont know enough about kpop to know anything about them but they're so fucking beautiful that i feel like even with surgical intervention (which is fine!) they're a level of good looking that is just like... not even human??

I'm one of those writers that curates a playlist for each game I work on and one of mine is especially varied this time around. It opens with Chelsea Wolfe ("Fight Like Gods") and then goes directly to KATSEYE ("Mean Girls"). And it's got me thinking........... NEED their collab.

I've started putting a beanbag (like a full sized one from kmart) under my desk and using it as a leg/foot rest and LET ME TELL YOU I am so comfortable. I can cross my legs, lay back, everything. Is it ergonomic? Probably not. Am I comfortable as FUCK? Absolutely.

I don't mind having to pay these costs (ok I do but whatever) because I can, at the end of the day, afford them. But I genuinely cannot imagine being a member of the ever expanding casual workforce or someone on centrelink trying to afford this AND set up to have the actual baby.

So far I have spent over 2k on imaging and testing for my pregnancy, and we shopped around with providers as best as we could. I only JUST hit my second trimester. How the fuck is a person on newstart or an asylum seeker meant to do this?

No seriously I'm gonna start writing in to media outlets about how fucking expensive the required imaging and tests are when you're pregnant and how they're either not subsidised at all or it's only like $50 back on a $250 charge. The government is begging for more kids yet it's inaccessible.

100%. I genuinely think a retro-futuristic-retrofit would revitalise Tomorrowland. Less gimmicky IP shit that needs constant updating and something totally unique that only Disney would really be able to offer. (Also you could do shit like the house but also make it carbon neutral now!)
