There are a disturbing number of people who think like this. I've been seeing a rising number of commenters on my Hidden Gems roundup who are upset at being shown games they've never heard about, because if they haven't heard about it, it must be bad and thus it can't be a gem, so I must be lying.
People really just be making games about anything these days.

Love that for them.

say what you will about the new skate, but it sure did its job like the others and introduced me to some cool new bands

The Writer read doops review of Alan Wake 2 on Bluesky. At first he was dismayed at their dismissive towards the first Alan Wake game and Control. Thankfully doops brought it back around and the Writer smiled. "He's a real one after all", the Writer wrote.
I finished Alan Wake 2! (and its DLCs)

Despite not being the biggest fan of Alan Wake 1 or Control, even I have to agree that this game may well be Remedy's finest work, or at least the best thing they've put out since Max Payne 2.

Frankly, all games need a dance number.

Parents, please be sure to check your kids candy VERY CAREFULLY this year
y cyberpink on there twice?
Is this what the kids call “aura”?
Them getting more flak for it than your typical Bethesda Game Studios release made me madder than the game itself lol

(and I love Bethesda games!
Its hypocrisy I dislike lmao)
if I’m being totally honest, I wasn’t even really that mad at them in the first place lol
how about a controller that, instead of a touchpad, has a compartment where you can store M&Ms

that would be cool :)
How would you feel about 3D face scanning built into the DualSense 2 to deepfake yourself into games as next gen tech?

Next several weeks' gonna be rough for me, my roommates and a friend. Me and my roommates are likely have to move out to a new apartment and my friend's hit with a nasty rent due bill before moving too

+ I'm out of meds for HRT and stomach and needing groceries. Please help us.

This is something I've seen a lot of over the past couple years. Unhinged American right-wing sorts are utterly aghast at the concept of european arts grants and think it's some kind of leftist propaganda movement rather than a normal thing that most functional countries do.
Some people are genuinely deranged.

This is a user review of Draugen. Not Dustborn. Draugen: a game set in 1920s Norway with zero "propaganda", unless you count "mountains and fjords are real pretty" as propaganda.

Oh, and play Draugen! It's a neat little mystery, perfect October entertainment.
The Naked Gun (2025)

This entire reboot was worth it for the snowman sequence alone.

The rest of it is pretty great too.

I played Control again! (+ the DLCs)

Overall, I do like it. There are certain qualms I have with the game and its story, but I admire Remedy's vision enough to recognise their talents, and it's foolish to ignore what a truly impressive feat this game is, faults and all.

if this comment is satire, it's immaculate.
I finally played Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

By far my favourite of the classic 2D Marios. Really, it's more of a Yoshi game than a Mario game, but still a great sequel to everything that came before it.

Would be nice if you could manually aim the eggs, though.

The H in ham stands for hacker :3
I read a review of it with the words 'incest justification' and noped out.

Might have been hyperbole given the caliber of actors involved? Either way, wacky stuff.
