Ah, the run up to Christmas with the noisy interruptions from old beat up transit vans with polluting diesel engines running outside my window as the drivers make numerous deliveries to houses whose occupants are at work.

I become a mini post office for my neighbours at this time of year.

Boots: get krill pills off the shelves!
They're destroying the Antarctic food chain for omega-3 pills. But there's an easy fix.

For fucks sake, no part of a cow or pig is called a burger or sausage, it's a shape. Desperate attempts from animal farmers to damage vegetarian food sales.
What's next Cadbury's not being able to sell chocolate fingers because that's what Captain Birdseye sells fish as?

I thought this was going to turn into a story needing its own True Crime Netflix series, but no.
This is quite something.

Illegal immigration isn’t tearing the UK apart.

The far right is tearing the country apart, using immigration as a pretext.

Labour's MP for Folkestone says the government has taken "the wrong turning" on its plans for asylum seekers.

"The rhetoric around these reforms encourages the same culture of divisiveness that sees racism and abuse growing in our communities."

I've had the sort of day that I can only explain as a very decent first chapter to an Ian McEwan novel. Too many slightly out of the ordinary occurrences and a hospital appointment tomorrow to fix my finger that is weighing heavily on my mind

Absolutely crucial app that doesn't get enough publicity, could save your life 1 day. Most building sites have their w3w displayed in case an emergency response is required, councils request them for reports of flytipping etc. I used it once when a puncture left me standed & I'd no idea where I was.

I witnessed a car accident this afternoon and called 999. They asked me where I was and then asked for the What3Words location.

I was calling from my phone. How was I supposed to get the what 3 words?? Very stressful incident made even more stressful by this.

One ~182km x ~211km solar thermal plant could provide all of America’s electricity, including a fully-electrified land transport sector.

100% clean power from just 0.39% of U.S land.

That’s why renewables are constantly under attack from the fossil fuel industry and their paid mouthpieces.

For years, the way to silence or snooze my phone's alarm was by sliding a button on the screen left or right.
Now, following an update, it's a tap on the left or right of the screen and I don't like it! I can't get used to it. It's too early in the morning!!
