Shout-out to Go-Busters:
A show that gave one of its leads a jokey weakness, then gave us a significant bit of backstory about why he has that weakness. I especially love how Jin and Ryuji's faces go from "There's no way this can be real" to "Holy fuck" as the story is told.
*turns to a third player* "And you, the lizardfolk Barbarian named Thag O'Miser? I have no dispute with you. Well done."
*turns to another problem player* "And as for you, Don't think your DM didn't see you name your bard 'Painin Myass.' If I catch you referring to your character in the third person more than once, you are paying for pizza next week."
So, I will make you an offer you cannot refuse. If you want to actually play D&D you will sit here and roll a new character, with all your dice rolls in the open. Otherwise, you will optimize your way right out this door, capische?"
Dungeons and Dragons is not about making numbers go up. It is about telling a story, together. That story will be no fun for the other players if the songs sung about your group say 'And the others came along.'
Me, the forever DM, speaking in a Don Corleone voice: "You come here, to my table, as we are prepared to play D&D, and you present me this optimized killing machine? You dishonor this table. You dishonor this group, and you do yourself a dishonor....
What do you think Autovaijin's voice would sound like, separate from the voice of the Faiz Driver?
I like to think he either sounds like RoboCop or Commander Data.

Don't resign yourself to living in constant discomfort just because it suits the comfort of others.
My brain, just after rolling credits on Alan Wake II and before going to bed: Would Zeztz or Wizard be more likely to get Alan and Saga from the Dark Place?
Everyone out there with Legends Z-A, give your totodile a hug for me.
I wonder: Does the fact that I grew up in the church have anything to do with why I live surreal "Nothing is as it seems" horror games?
The existence of "Miracle Lights" as shown in and sold before the theater length Pretty Cure movies are a direct result of the phenomenon of children standing up to give their power to Ultraman Tiga in his final confrontation. In this essay I will...
As I realized yesterday: #Magi-Knights is set in Washington State in 1994. Bright Falls is also in Washington State. So it's entirely possible that Magi-Knights could attend an Old Gods of Asgard concert.
Godzilla's answer would be "Skreeonk" which roughly translates to "Enough to Kick"
There's two reasons why I think Ex-aid wouldn't have been a good series to adapt for American audience.
1) It was just a short time before the pandemic.
2) A big name AAA developer leaving a FPS game in development hell for five years? Like that'd ever happen.
My response to Genwunners is "What does it feel like to lose all sense of whimsy?"
Thirty pieces of silver laid in the dead men's chests.
A loan for wicked traitors, paid with interest.
Their blackened hearts shall remain on ice,
Until the time comes to pay the final price."
I started work on yet another #Magi-Knights adventure.
Here's the poem left by the killer on the bodies of cultists
"A life for a life some say is fair trade. But no mere broker can match what I paid.
To take another's life is a dreadful cost, one I pay dutifully to regain what I lost.

I didn’t transition into a woman, I dropped a mask.

The woman was there, poisoned and weak from her captivity.

I didn’t transition, I broke free.
The frog intercepts the sheep curse. The polecat is a free three hit shield.
Gentaro's personal philosophy on working with Magical Girls: "If they show up, I fall back. They've got this. I'll only help if they ask me to."
