I saw a clip of the new star trek where they quote a line from tng, but they forgot every other word so it ends up making no sense. Man thats embarrassing, now I can’t prove it, but it makes me wonder if the writers just used chatgpt to look up inspirational quotes from tng, and it got it wrong

censorship for kids' tv was one of the big differences in the 90s/00s old days. kids who think it's done today have No Idea. it also pulled you deeper into the subculture, as you knew a) the *real* version of your favorite was buried somewhere b) lot of popular series couldn't be shown on TV
