I’m not sure what’s sadder, the Homestuck team insisting that Hauntswitch is still going to happen despite no update on Hiveswap besides discord posts, or the official Hiveswap bluesky account arguing with a journalist they made up that they portray as obsessively trying to ruin Hiveswap development

Pitch Solkat is peak, actually, and I'm surprised that people don't talk about it more. I love their pointless rivalry about who's a better coder. Karkat tries so hard to get on Sollux's level, even to his own detriment, while Sollux actively fuels his envy by boasting about his skills

Conveniently absent from ~ATH's extensive import library are entities with short lifespans. Like a rapidly decaying particle that only lasts a millisecond sure would be handy. Or even a fruit fly or something. But no, coding with this language is all about finding ways to trick it into doing what you want.

Your hacker buddy is obnoxiously good at it. He's sent you some files which you still don't understand, but you're not going to admit that. He is even better at making viruses than you, which really gets stuck in your nook.

You don't know how he does stuff like this. What does this even mean? It's nonsense. Is it even syntactically viable?? Are you allowed to color text like that??? ARGH. Maybe you should ask him about it some time.

It's blowing my mind that John says a variation of "fuck" nine times in the Homestuck pilot. For reference, in the first five acts of the comic, he only says it 13 times (and none of these are in Act 1). He's reached more than half of that number in only one episode!

I think the characters were handled well enough, with the exception of Rose. What dogshit writing. Why does she sound so annoyed with John's antics? Where's her whimsy? She's supposed to be silly, but dresses it up with intellectual and macabre flair. Now she's just... moody goth girl. Blech.

After watching the Homestuck pilot, I have no idea how this would appeal to anyone unfamiliar with the comic. The pacing is so fast and there's little time to digest anything that's going on. Genuinely would've benefited from a longer runtime, because 11 minutes was way too short

Alien 3 is incredible and I'll die on this hill. I believe it's just as good as the previous two movies and provides a satisfying conclusion to Ripley's story.

The page for Alien 3 on the website Rotten Tomatoes. It has a 44% critic score based on 126 reviews, and 46% audience score based on 250,000+ ratings. Both scores are offensively low for what is arguably one of director David Fincher's best works.

Seems like that was a time where lots of people were insecure about games being art, so they felt the need to heap praise on plot-heavy games like this one, even though these "dramas" were about as shallow as they got.
They weren't fun to play either, so you got the worst of both worlds!
