Since we are all suffering through this game, I might as well share the starter pack.

Pass along, and if I've missed anyone, let me know.

it's not sufficient, and it has to be followed by doing the hard work of rebuilding a functional society

but last night does show one thing: "vote harder" is, actually, pretty effective

Let these exit polls be yet another reminder:

1. Can’t nobody say jack shit to -OR- about Black Women.

2. The ONLY group who has the right to say anything to -OR- about Black Men…are Black Women.

When you’re consistently #1 and #2 in the game, you’ve earned that right.

Biden was old.
Kamala just didn’t say the right things in the right way for your special ears.

Now we have this.
Trump on Lori Lightfoot, whose name he can't remember: "The mayor from Chicago. The woman. The one that gets her hair done very expensively, right? Beautiful hair. She's got beautiful, luxurious hair."

“Allies”. Focus on that other 50% in your demographic that’s still showing their asses. This holiday season, go ahead and have those “hard conversations 🙄” with those folks at your dinner table.
❤️🥹 Yesterday. I have a great network of love around me, both platonic, familial...and romantic.
4. When did you last feel loved?
Both safe and scary. Not scary as in "do they love me too", but scary as in "I need them to be safe in the world, especially when I cannot be there."

It's enduring. It's so, so safe. It's reassuring. It's work. Lord knows it's not easy.
3. What does it feel like to be in love?
I desire to be fully seen, safe, and understood emotionally, mentally, and physically.
2. How would you like to be loved?
A choice. Active, not passive.

Today officially makes this the longest government shutdown IN HISTORY.

Republicans control the White House, Senate, and House. This is their shutdown.

STOP THE REPUBLICAN SHUTDOWN.

Who are Republicans in DC fighting for? They’d rather shut it all down than spend money on helping middle-class families with ridiculous insurance premiums.

Keep in mind: This is happening just months after they spent trillions on tax cuts for corporations and the ultra-wealthy.

Exactly this.
The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.
I won't say it. But you see it.
Wow. Incredible sea change
Exactly
I love to see moderate dems celebrating the Mamdani win and progressives celebrating the Spanberger and Sherrill wins.

This is what happens when everyone votes for the D on the ballot.

Remember this feeling and how we got here and vote D in every election because winning feels really fucking good.

Sigh. Yep.
White folks still doing white folks shit. Black folks still held it down. Keep treating Black people like we are not the base of the Democratic Party at your own peril.

NBC folded & canceled Nat King Cole's show after 13 months on the air because it failed to attract a national sponsor. They were reluctant to sign for fear their products would be boycotted by disgruntled white Southerners.
