Spent some time testing new 8-bit Atari equip. Have an 800XL I picked up recently with a stuck key. Fixed by cleaning mylar. Also got an Indus GT working that I picked up at VCFMW for $50. Cleaned the head & greased the rails. All working great! #atari #atari8bit #retrocomputing #indusGT

I have several old monitors with this ripple on the left side. (All to varying degrees) I have never been able to figure out which part is responsible for damping this... Does anyone have any ideas?

It's hard work, but it has some beautiful results. Props to those that save battery bombed systems!
Watching Adrian begin to scope the amount of work he's got going on that Lisa's I/O board reminds me of the job I had to do a few years back where it was easier to just strip that corner of the board, remove the failing masking and replace traces and sockets as per the schematic.

We recently did a demo on RCA CED SelectaVision, and it worked... bizarrely good? Like, these disks are physically deteriorating year on year, but somehow this ancient press of the Rankin Bass "Hobbit" looked and sounded great... not at all the usual CED experience! 😅
