If you're looking to do some retro gaming, LincCon in Merrill Wisconsin is the place to be! #linccon
I was never a fan of those "team meetings" at work; but I am immensely thankful that none of them that I ever attended were ever led by Malcolm Reed. Poor MACOs. 😟
It's one thing to fight rubber aliens, it's another to fight aliens that aren't even there and will be added in post. That they sold this at all is indeed a triumph of both the effects people and Bakula's weirdly broad range of acting abilities.

Hoping Adam is feeling better soon!
I always wonder how the design meetings for the Xindi weapon went. Surely someone had to have said "Don't make it look too much like the Death Star. I mean, that's obviously what we're going for, but don't overdo it!" 😆
By Cuomo's logic, the billionaires would be sending checks to Mamdani too, as he's a New Yorker and if you've even glanced at the news over the last few months, they'd "know" him well enough.

Really looking forward to election night.
All Bolton has to do is run for President, and the prosecution can't touch him then, apparently.
We recently did a demo on RCA CED SelectaVision, and it worked... bizarrely good? Like, these disks are physically deteriorating year on year, but somehow this ancient press of the Rankin Bass "Hobbit" looked and sounded great... not at all the usual CED experience! 😅
The obsessive hunt for literally any more information on the elusive Canon VP 3000 word processor continues! We have a new lead with a new weird Japanese machine that sheds a bit more light on the lost history of Canon's word processor era. All on the WCC forums!
Canon VP 3000 Word Processor
Got an email from eBay that was pretty exciting. Someone is selling the manual for our mystery machine HERE. I was excited for a moment thinking it "might" have disks, but it doesn't appear to- and...

TIL that my email to @nerdmysteries.bsky.social about the haunted monorail didn't get there.
Battery by law enforcement, infringement of 1st amendment rights, and the list goes on. The gestapo looks foolish to boot.

Working on More Cool Things™ for jcm-1.com

How about a JCM special version of the MiniPerformer+ for the Mac Plus, that clips over the CPU?

No soldering required. No permanent mods.

Interested? Sound off in the comments.
A few photo's of @graffias79.bsky.social's beautiful Amiga One 500 machine at the WCC's Green Bay show on 10.4.25. This is a piece of kit I'd always wanted back when it was "new" so it was a treat to take it for a spin at the show!
Arbitrary post about the Casio Loopy on it's anniversary tour with us! Maddest props again to @partlyhuman.com for making this all possible with the Floopy Drive and the English language translation of the crazy dog game so folks can actually get into the Loopy!
Is Facebook super broken for everyone today, or is it just me? 😅

For all that money Meta has, it's wild that their site is still a clunky mess all the time.
The Wisconsin Computer Club's show in Green Bay on 10.4.25 was a blast! Many thanks to all who came out to experience all these great old machines and talk shop with the club and I! Looking forward to our next visit to Titletown!
An absolutely stunning setup! Several of our members and I had a chance to talk with her, and her knowledge and passion for these unusual machines is unmatched!
I forgot to post up my VCFMW table setup yesterday. There were so many lovely folks to chat with and share my love of these systems with.

The lead-up work for conventions is so stressful, but seeing so many folks connect with systems from Japan makes it all worthwhile.
We're doing something silly on a very unusual machine this Saturday in Green Bay! 😁

As someone who only got a Dreamcast earlier this year, I wholeheartely agree with the cozy moniker for it. I guess it has more to do with the console's (and its games') Y2K aesthetics above all else.
SEGA Dreamcast is probably my "coziest" console.

I feel happier and more peaceful when I play Dreamcast games. Maybe I'm nostalgic for this era of SEGA, but I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

It wasn't here for long, but it left a huge mark for me.
