Political violence has no place in a healthy democracy. It is inimical to the normal functioning of a pluralistic society. It must be condemned in the strongest terms.

In authoritarian regimes it's the norm, and all the extremes dance in symbiotic, self-sustaining violence born of fear.

I'll always give them all the credit. They deserve it. They still have to contend with the fact that there's been a concerted and almost totally successful effort to devalue and hollow out education in the US that's been going on for decades and has brought us to this point. It can't be ignored.
