Halloween recycling tip 5: Say boo to waste!

Make sure any empty batteries used for decorations or in costumes are disposed of properly! Do not throw them in your general waste bin as they can cause fires and environmental harm.

Unsure of how to recycle batteries? Visit: https://orlo.uk/jOhpm
Halloween recycling tip 4: Scare without the waste

Why not decorate using items you already have or that can be recycled? Or use leaves and pinecones that can be returned to the garden afterwards?

Keep your reusable items to avoid re-buying and reduce waste for next year’s Halloween festivities!

I joined the deputy mayor of Bury St Edmunds at the launch of Plug In Suffolk's Car Club today. Funded by all the leaders of Suffolk's councils, this is a trial for 18 months initially. Car clubs are a useful addition to the whole transport ecosystem, and can be a great alternative to owning a car.
Cabinet Member for Growth Cllr Indy Wijenayaka spoke at the Innovate UK Business Connect Innovate Local: East of England event held in West Suffolk. He highlighted how innovative local businesses are and the role the council plays in fostering business growth to support a thriving economy.
