I agree, everyone should stop using Facebook and Instagram. But they make it really difficult to delete your account.
This is why everyone should avoid these Meta products - Facebook and Instagram. But they deliberately make it hard to cancel accounts. This is something decent governments should be taking action on.

I was appalled to hear of the horrific incident on a train near Huntingdon last night.

All of my thoughts are with those affected, especially the victims and their loved ones.

I'm very grateful to the emergency services for their response.

Why is it so hard to delete a Facebook, Instagram and Meta account? With other social media it's easy and clear. With Meta products it's overly complex. This needs dealing with urgently.
As a country, we need to do two things to solve the water crisis. Firstly, we need more and better micro management of water. The other thing is the water companies should be taken back into public ownership. They are shipping vast sums to their shareholders, rather than investing in our future.
A new city the size of Leeds in the Suffolk countryside? Totally mad plan. I rarely agree with Nick Timothy, but I do here. Certainly it's not come from my council.

The men behind the idea say it will be entirely filled with affordable homes.

West Suffolk Council is doing its best to work with Newmarket Town Council over the market, but silly posturing by certain Conservative councillors makes it hard to progress. We'll continue to be the grown ups in the room.
We're so lucky to have EcoCarriers and their brilliant volunteers in Bury St Edmunds.
Great to be at the launch of West Suffolk Council's new mobility scooter scheme. Our new partner is EcoCarriers, a not- for- profit local group who already provide ecologically sound transport options around Bury St Edmunds.
Great news for Colchester. It shows that Labour is still winning in the East. People trust us, and want sensible politicians like us who tell the truth and deliver for their communities.
Great work by the Suffolk system - this was financed by the Suffolk Public Sector Leaders group, which includes all the local public sector leaders, including me.
I joined the deputy mayor of Bury St Edmunds at the launch of Plug In Suffolk's Car Club today. Funded by all the leaders of Suffolk's councils, this is a trial for 18 months initially. Car clubs are a useful addition to the whole transport ecosystem, and can be a great alternative to owning a car.
Social media is great in some ways, but you can't beat an old fashioned notice board!
Got a good idea? Then go for it. Grants available now...
Bus services in West Suffolk are improving with the government grant to the County Council. But to move things quicker and better, West Suffolk Council set up a commission to look at rural bus services. The recommendations will go to cabinet on 4th November, and I'm hoping they'll be approved.
This is a really good primer in basic economics. You don't need a degree in the subject to understand this simple principle. Farage does, but he's batting for the very rich, not ordinary people like us.
Your market needs YOU! West Suffolk Council is investing in our markets, so if you haven't checked yours out in a while, now's the time to do it.

We’ve done some good things in our first year in office, but we must do better to re-connect with the communities we serve and give a much clearer sense of our purpose and values.

That’s how we succeed. That’s how we will re-unite the country.
It's what a makes a photo great, you see something familiar with new eyes.
I've walked past this post box hundreds of times without really thinking about it.
