— it’s connected to the utter lack of education about how Puerto Rico and other American territories work.

There’s many Americans who believe a U.S. territory is a client state, siphoning funds but having some autonomy.

Hence PR has a President and Canada is a territory. (2/2) 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yes I saw the video of those Americans who truly believed Canada was a U.S. territory when travelling here (despite needing a passport), and the comment I have as your local guide is this:
