love that we have a 3D printer at the county library. it’s perfect for when I need a specific piece for a specific task (e.g. making an iPhone Backbone controller compatible when Apple added the camera(s) bump)

General Albert Pike's statue, toppled during George Floyd protests in 2020, is restored under orders from President Donald Trump.

This cannot be something a civilian law enforcement agent is allowed to wear in the US — and an agency that has a culture that tolerates this cannot be saved.
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End it.

Take accountability by abolishing it.

Masks need to come off, arrest warrants need to go out—no secret police in the United States of America.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

“Won’t somebody think of the poor landlords?” was never going to fly on Bluesky.
You might want to know that many landlords are like myself: work full-time, and rent out house bought as investment for income. Bank loan gotta get paid along with the rest of expenses. Corporations, sure, I agree. But COVID moratorium screwed me very badly, more debt. So might want to keep in mind.

I read this, and I almost regret it. What do you even do with the knowledge that Epstein wanted and was trying to engineer societal breakdown via far right populism bc he thought it would benefit his sex trafficking business?
I read thousands of pages of Epstein files this weekend trying to understand what he wanted out of his meeting with 4chan's Christopher Poole. Here's everything we know about Epstein's plans to dismantle the internet and, eventually, democracy.

Funny thing how cycles can work the other way too.

My college fraternity had a strict no hazing policy. We treated each other with respect, and the women who visited our house with respect—so they felt safe in our house.

We were also the fist fraternity house on campus to be an LGBT “Safe Space.”
Men aren’t born with a propensity to commit acts of sexual violence. It is socialized behavior, often learned through abuse itself. Take fraternities and hazing as one example. The slightly older students beat the younger ones and the cycle continues year after year. Sports teams, armies, the same.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

It really is worth understanding what an escalation this is by the feds to be teargassing the big family friendly march
Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com
