Tried doing a character sketch for a different story and have absolutely no momentum. I should probably get back to the novel, go over the feedback I received a month ago. I really struggle with working on other things beside it. (And I've only written 2 poems in 2025 compared to 6 in 24)

Not me applying for an open mic I saw advertised at the Copley library without attending to see what the skill level is. I couldn't tell if it was a truly open mic, all levels welcome, from the description. Guess I'll find out depending on if I get accepted.

Still no idea what to get my brother but mom said a gift certificate to Simon's so she can buy a new pair of shoe boots. Not sure if I should get a clothing gift card for Dad on top of his book since it was so much shorter/thinner than I was expecting. Conversations with Mike Dukakis.

Hyping myself up for the walk to the gym. I'd gone Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Sunday. I know I need to go slow, but I'm in the clear to increase my activities as I can. Started walking during lunch downtown again!

Had one meeting today where I needed to take the notes and zoom decided to throw a fit. Luckily they were okay with me using my phone to listen in. Hadn't had internet problems at home today, until right at 2pm when I tried logging on. Thankfully that meeting is set up without a host. 😮💨

I was dreading going to the dentist but it turned out okay. No cavities. If I had some serious spending money I would look into replacing the two fake front teeth for aesthetic reasons.
(Pro tip, don't unzip your winter jacket as you go up the stairs after recess when you're in 4th grade.)

Watched Planes Trains and Automobiles last night with mom for the first time. Then I looked up when the AirTrain to JFK opened (2003) and found LaGuardia doesn't have subway access. So I guess taking a cab from Manhattan really was the easiest way to get to an airport in the late 80s.

Related: extra tired today but I did go to bed at 11:30 and had my alarm set for grocery shopping. Market Basket with mom at 8:30 was extra hopping with the holiday. I need to buy wine for my aunt who's hosting us. And I found a little christmas cactus - she literally just moved a couple months ago.

Yesterday I went to CVS + Trader Joe's at lunch. Maps says that's .8 mile walk round trip. I bailed on TJ's when I saw how long the lines were but then went out again at night cuz I desperately needed sugar.
About a mile and a half without a crutch.
Today I walked a mile at lunch without a crutch.

So far, Chanel has raised $21,747. In the meantime, she's often been confined to her neighborhood due to lack of transportation. I know there's a lot of need out there, but please consider helping her and her mom afford another wheelchair van. Mobility is so important for everyone.
Saw a PA at my GI's office on Tuesday. I was on a every 6 month visit schedule. But this summer a #crohns flare crept in. It's a much slower flare than the last one in 2016. Way more pain. I had to switch from brand name humira to a bio similar and the pain started just before I had to switch.
