fortunately i’m zooming (comparatively) now, unfortunately the “ugh this is shallow and bad” braincell has moved onto “the line between you having fun and being annoying is thin and also ten steps behind you” so. figuring it out in real time. also probably deleting this in the light of day.

i’m still happy to be branching out, even if the writing has been slower in general, but i miss wren when i spend too long away from creating moments for her to live in. genuinely having the wrensid braincell rev up again makes me so happy i love thinking about them all the time

i wrote a lot last year, and i branched out and wrote things that felt brand-new to me, so this year i struggled with the contrast of feeling like anything i write for xiv feels like heavily disliked romantasy, but that’s not like? actually a bad thing, and i love many of those books, so.

this year was pretty hard on my muse because i’ve been cyclically beating myself up as a creative, but having the spark back to write wrenships genuinely just makes me so happy. i kind of thought i’d moved on and was grieving that a bit. still feeling a little overly critical but. better.

paying attention to the fact that fray's body was always going to be robbed this time. i think about sidurgu's initial anger than wren took the stone a lot but not really that this was supporting that assumption and how crassly both the temple knights and the noble you speak to first are about it.
