Before you tell a disabled person it’s their family’s responsibility to care for them… remember that not everyone has family.

What’s more, disabled people are far more likely to be trapped in abusive relationships.

Better social supports would help them break free.

But masking in healthcare facilities should be an easy ask.

Getting folks to mask when they’re sick should be an easy ask.

I saw this gentleman recently.

He was playing the bandura
(at first, I thought it was a kobza).
Both are Ukrainian musical instruments –
the kobza is simply the older one,
smaller, with fewer strings and a softer sound.

A 15 year old autistic child named Emmanuel Garcia went missing Oct 4th. Houston PD found him & gave him to ICE despite his Mom having filed a missing person’s report.

He’s now in an immigration facility for unaccompanied minors.

His Mom is pleading for his return:
