@statbel-en.bsky.social released daily death data for Belgium up to end 2025

Belgium saw quite some excess (5%) vs. expected from pre-pandemic trends, essentially due to a severe Flu season (Jan-Feb)

There was also probably excess from covid (Sep-Oct) and none from heat

None of these traits are in any way specific to autism, the article has zero relevant sources, and framing negative medical outcomes - something to be afraid of - as "autism-related" risks pathologizing actual autism. Please reconsider whether this article is appropriate.

Autism involves fundamental differences in synaptic connectivity, sensory processing, and social communication. It is not a set of transient behaviors or "traits" that can be "acquired" in adulthood.

The CMI has released its analysis of 2025 mortality in England & Wales.

Death rates for 2025 were nearly 2% lower than 2024, the previous record low.

Death rates improved (i.e. fell) for both sexes and in all age groups between 2024 and 2025.

Metrix is the other one, they're FDA approved. More expensive, though :/

We got a couple Portacounts that need repairs which I'm trying to fix right now, so we can hopefully borrow them to people in Europe who need one. Lmk if you're interested!
December 18, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Just in case it makes you feel any better, most people with Portacounts got them for like $200 a couple years ago. They're 20-30 year old, half-broken devices from eBay or govt auctions. Still a lot of money, but not quite as outrageous.

That supply has run out, I hope nobody buy them for $3k

Der ist in der Tat "true positive". Gute Besserung!

This paper does not offer compelling evidence supporting prolonged immune dysregulation following COVID-19, and this type of study design is not informative regarding whether or not such a thing exists. At best, this is hypothesis-generating; however, the existing evidence base is not supportive.

The authors’ conclusion that this study shows “long-lasting immune compromise” is ridiculous, especially as they are basing it on the finding of “sustained subnormal lymphocytes,” which they didn’t even find. Furthermore, there are other factors besides a covid wave that occurred during this time

I'm seeing a lot of discussion of this study, and so far everything I have seen goes well beyond what the data of this study allow us to conclude. Let's look at this together.

As of September 15, 2024, the COVID-19 pandemic had resulted in more than 776 million confirmed cases and seven million deaths worldwide [1]. While most patients recovered from the acute phase of COVI...

Tatsächlich falsch positiv, in diesem Fall.
