Great investigation of the Nazis, racists and criminals mobilising the flag-on-lamp-posts movement. This is the kind of journalism that the national media could and should have conducted:

I inherited this mini Swiss army knife from my late father. Since I've started carrying it around I have realised how useful it could be: thanks Dad for yet another lesson x

We've got some fantastic nature news to brighten your day 🎉
Wicken Fen has become the first UK nature reserve to record an incredible 10,000 species. A moth that imitates a wasp was the 10,000th species to be recorded. This work is possible thanks to a major grant from The Nature Recovery Project.

This venue in Margate is so proud of their food hygiene rating they've got it on an A board in the street. That's quite extreme. Possibly they protest too much - makes you wonder what it was rated before.

The most important thing we learn in school isn't mathematics or neat handwriting. It's that we must pretend that unimportant things are important because of who asked for them. That's the value in homework. It's not the essay that's important. It's the submission.

I'm on the ferry. A child is singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas". He's struggling once he gets beyond the geese a-laying so he's starting again.

Or both?
Every man driving a convertible with the roof down is either grey or bald. A mate said this 3 years ago and I thought he was generalising. Then I started looking and it's true. Every single time. Has anyone else noticed this?

Can't deny it
Newspapers with a reader comments feature under articles are inherently less serious than those without. Comments just encourage columnists to be more extreme to improve their reader engagement metrics for the editor.

“I wish they had computed a bit less and thought a bit more” is a quotation for our age.
This is just going to be the first of many, many stories you are going to read about big tech companies faking "AI for climate" claims. The sheer volume of AI-climate-washing going on right now is huge, and it's very likely most of the claims are fabricated or exaggerated
