It's astonishing; the number of deluded people on FB who expect...nay, demand...bare, dry pavement less than 24 hrs after a major dump of snow amidst a hard freeze. They blame DoT for the inconvenience, yet refuse to change their own driving habits. And they wonder why drivers end up in the ditch?!

Yay, new floor. (Baseboards and cabinet toe kicks pending.) It ain't perfect, but it's a far cry better than the old 1990s-vintage yellowish beige peel-and-stick vinyl tiles that were there before. Glad it's done. One less home job to worry about before Xmas! 📐🔨😮💨

Last night's "I was out for a drive and survived, so stop complaining" cruft has been superseded by racist comments as pertains to the numerous tractor-trailer accidents scattered around the province. How did $399k ever become the baseline price for a modest bungalow? And how the heck are first-time buyers affording places without immediately becoming "house poor"? ~~ On that note, want to be my neighbor? Quiet, rural, family-friendly subdivision. Can offer periodic chihuahua visits in trade.

60sqft of old peel-and-stick flooring; surely that won't take more than a couple hours to remove?! ...45 minutes (~5 tile squares) and a sore back later, I guess I'm writing off my entire day tomorrow. When it's done, I'll have a new kitchen floor in time for xmas though. #HomeownerProblems #diy
