Our military is being paid by an anonymous donor.

Our WH East Wing was demolished for a ballroom - paid for by donors.

These aren’t acts of benevolence or patriotism.

This is the oligarchy assuming control, insidiously becoming part of how we function.

Every American should reject it.

WH allows criminal bribe anonymity
To be clear:
These donations are bribes, made anonymously to conceal Trump’s corruption.

Went to a prayer service tonight at St. Mary of the Lake, where they have cardboard cutouts throughout the church representing parishioners afraid to come to Mass because of ICE.

This man was part of a coalition of Reagan-era apartheid apologists who opposed U.S. opening talks with the African National Congress which he called a terrorist org. He has been a right wing activist for decades. His son was part of the Jan 6th mob and was convicted (later pardoned by Trump). 1/
So you should really watch this. Just 2 minutes. But a window into the truly radical nature of the people Trump is nominating.

When pressed today, the nominee to be Ambassador to South Africa refuses to oppose reinstituting laws to prevent black people from voting in America.

We asked people who lived in homeless encampments that were cleared out in city “sweeps” to write about what object was the hardest for them to lose.

“They took my baby pictures and my moms obituaries,” a man in California wrote.

“I Have Lost Everything”: The Toll of Cities’ Homeless Sweeps
Cities often take belongings — including important documents and irreplaceable mementos — when they conduct sweeps of homeless encampments. ProPublica gave notecards to people across the country so th...

This really was one of my main takeaways
I think the Reagan ad is most effective not by the topic but by reminding everyone that presidents don't have to sound like insane morons.

See, you damn *elites* wouldn't understand what it's like for a country boy like Graham. He didn't have no "Exeter"--that boy had to scrape by with Hotchkiss. His daddy wasn't no CEO, just a lawyer, son of an iconic NYC modernist architect. Boy came up hard, nothing to sit on but Saarinan chairs...
wait, graham platner's "oyster farm" _only_ supplies his mother's restaurant and two other places?
The three locations where he sells his oysters (they all look like pretty nice places to visit)

This is what oligarchy looks like:

Trump gave corporate America a $920 billion tax break.

Now, corporations like Amazon, Meta, Apple, Google & Lockheed Martin are returning the favor by giving Trump $300 million for a fancy ballroom.

That’s a pretty good return on investment.

Civic virtue is incredibly important. People who study crime say: most people don’t commit crimes not because they’re scared of punishment, but because you just don’t do that. Imagine how awful it would be if that weren’t true; if we couldn’t rely on people’s decency.

Secretary Bessent already spent $20 billion bailing out Argentina — now he wants Wall Street to kick in $20 billion more, possibly guaranteed by taxpayers.

The big banks need to reject this deal.

Taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill for Trump’s political favors.
