hey guys, super good place to throw a few bucks, if you’ve got ‘em! Ellie and I were at KCL together (approx one hundred years ago) and I babysat the kiddo in question when they were teensy 💖
So I am running the London Lea Valley 50km in March and trying to raise some money for Step Forward - a youth centre in Tower Hamlets, Kiddo attends their LGBTQIA+ group and it's been such a brilliant and supportive space for them, which feels so important when trans youth are under constant attack.

We stood down half a million carrier pigeons and got on with our lives just fine using other communication methods. But some people can't even quit twitter? I repeat: a pigeon never paid Tommy Robinson's legal bills.
Easy to laugh at a headline like this from the era of Chamberlainite appeasement, but the feathery little heroes ended up doing a really important job and saving a lot of lives...

So a while back I was commissioned to do short bios of various rock stars, and they were just about universally total psychopaths, with the huge exception of Freddie Mercury. A lovely man who did good by his wife, his lovers, and his cats.
Today (24 November) marks the passing of Freddie Mercury, lead vocalist and pianist of the rock band Queen. He remains regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music.

there are self-service machines here to do your biometrics before passport control & - trying to Require Minimal Help (as is my wont)- I used one & the guy tried to rescan my fingerprints & clicked around for awhile & finally in tones of polite German resignation is like, you have crashed the system
