More than 2 million oil and gas wells sit unplugged in the U.S., many leaking contaminants into waterways, farmland and neighborhoods.

Time and time again, oil companies have walked away — leaving taxpayers to pay for cleanup. Here’s how.

The American Oil Industry’s Playbook, Illustrated: How Drillers Offload Costly Cleanup Onto the Public
Oil executive Tom Ragsdale walked away from his old wells, making the pollution left behind the state of New Mexico’s problem. His tactics, however, are ubiquitous in the industry.

Yesterday, we made history. Around 7 MILLION people across the United States stood up to say #NoKings, with allies around the world in countries like Japan, the United Kingdom, France, and Australia joining us in solidarity.

BUT OUR FIGHT IS NOT OVER.

Way to make America great again: Cheap beef to US consumers who are stressed by Trump’s tariffs caused inflation, putting US ranchers out of business. While in debting America with billions dollar loans to Argentina.
What’s the attraction to Argentina?

We’re making loans to Argentina we can’t afford, bankrupting American farmers giving Argentina their markets, and now looking to take business away from American ranchers, mostly GOP supporters, what’s up with all that?

Trump is bailing out Argentina with $40 billion while leaving American farmers twisting in the wind. At this point, it’s obvious he doesn’t want them to succeed.

I’m calling it now: this is going to turn into a land grab for pennies on the dollar.

TIL: In Illinois, police video is ordinarily EXEMPT from disclosure unless it's been flagged for review based on a shooting, use-of-force report, arrest, or complaint.

People, if there are issues, you gotta file a complaint!
Pass it on: If you FILE A COMPLAINT about police activity, it flags the body-worn camera video so reporters can obtain it later via FOIA requests.
