...thats if you don't have to pay taxes, but don't worry, as a billionare in 10,000 years, you won't.
if you make $100,000/year, it will take you 10,000 years of work to accumulate 1 billion dollars

Let me say that again, but not backward! MIT License for VST3 (plus other SDK improvements) and GPLv3 for ASIO (with an OBS partnership).

So a fully permissive license on VST3 plug-ins, and a copyleft option in addition to the existing ASIO license. And that makes a ton of sense.
Open Steinberg: VST3 and ASIO SDKs now have open source licenses - CDM Create Digital Music
Open licensing for proprietary audio and plug-in standards could enable the entire industry to move forward on some critical work. So it's great news that Steinberg this month announced not one but tw...

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Good on Australia for doing this! It’s such a deceptive practice to tell customers their price is increasing because of AI, when the old price is still available without genAI but only if you try to cancel.

someone needs to ask mark carney why, if canada is the “most european of non-european nations,” all of our peers can offer pharmacare as part of their universal healthcare systems but canada still can’t after all these years?

Massive increases in military and RCMP spending while cutting social programs that help working families. Trampling on Indigenous rights and cementing more corporate power and control.

Neoliberalism at its finest
To build the Canada we want for ourselves, we have to make responsible choices and bet big on Canadians.

We’re going to cut waste and spend less on government operations — so we can make the big investments that will grow our economy and create new opportunities for Canadians.

mark carney taking the time to shit on canada post during his big pre-budget speech was disgusting.

he acts like it’s the responsible choice to gut an essential institution at the very moment he can’t stop talking about nation-building projects. that’s what canada post is and could continue to be!
