The president is about to start a war for no real reason. All of the things he has blamed on the country he’s targeting — fentanyl distribution, “emptying the asylums” and sending patients to the U.S., alignment with Tren de Aragua— are provably, obviously false.

Lots of people are going to die.

I am very concerned that Alaska blueberry is not making anyone’s pie list.
I'd argue this list is upside down for the most part.
Just FYI:

My most controversial tweet ever, from Thanksgiving three years ago, back when Twitter was Twitter and Bluesky didn’t exist.

_____________

Pies ranked.

1. Cherry (if not too sweet).
2. Mixed berry.
3. Peach/blackberry.
4. Peach.
5. Apple.

9. Key lime.

99. Pecan.

999. Pumpkin.

It wouldn't be a crime even if they (or you or I) misstated those rules, or for that matter openly advocated breaking them. I'm a bit wary of treating it as legally relevant that they were factually correct in what they said. They were, but it would be 1A-protected free speech even if they weren't.
Art. I of the Constitution gives Congress the power to make rules and regulations for the armed forces — including codes of discipline and strictures against following illegal orders. You can’t punish members of Congress for articulating those rules. Also protected by Speech and Debate Clause.

We do know who killed JFK. The Warren Commission was an incredibly thorough and good-faith effort to prove and document what had happened, which they did. The conspiracy theories arose in spite of best efforts to avoid them, but there really isn't anything they could have reasonably done better.
My first political memory - exactly 62 years ago right now, a 4-year-old boy trying to understand his mom's tears - is still the biggest event in my lifetime. We still (IMO) don't *really* know who killed JFK, but we know the public's trust was shattered. It's a straight line to today's mess

Pausing the ruling *now* seems gratuitous—but also a sign about where this is headed.

Just a reminder that one of the January 6ers Trump pardoned was arrested last month for threatening to murder Jeffries. Another was sentenced to life this year for plotting to murder the officials who prosecuted him.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.
