Chicago columnist wonders if a team that:
1. has made the playoffs 7 out of the last 8 seasons
2. lost a one-run Game 7 of the NLCS during their current run
3. had the best regular season record in baseball this year

Will be satisfied after ousting the Cubs. Wow.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on the shooting of Charlie Kirk:

"Political violence, unfortunately, has ramped up in this country ... I think there are people who are fomenting it in this country. I think the president's rhetoric often foments it."

Genuinely have no idea what will happen in Bears-Vikings tonight...
72-0 Bears? Sure.
Vikes 23-17 and McCarthy looks meh? Ok.
9-6 ugly slugfest? Won't argue.

My "favorite" Kessler "fact check" was when he called Bernie Sanders a liar for correctly noting that "Three people in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of America." Kessler's argument was that it doesn't count because "people in the bottom half have essentially no wealth."
Claim:“Three people in this country own more wealth than the bottom half of America”
—Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)

Fact check: This snappy talking point is based on numbers that add up, but it’s also a question of comparing apples to oranges. Sanders is drawing on a 2017 report from the left-leaning Institute for Policy Studies, which said that three billionaires — Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos (who owns The Washington Post) and Warren Buffett — had total wealth of $248.5 billion, compared to $245 billion for the bottom 160 million of the United States. The wealth of the three men has gone up even more since then.
But people in the bottom half have essentially no wealth, as debts cancel out whatever assets they might have. So the comparison is not especially meaningful. We once gave Sanders Three Pinocchios when he asserted that the six wealthiest people had more wealth than the half of the world’s population. That was an even more problematic comparison, and we said at the time it was better to focus on inequality within a country.

Me too! He was a great addition to the team-- he has a new opportunity in KC though, so I am thankful for that, and we have another meteorologist on the way. Stay tuned!

Yesterday, Lamar Jackson publicly campaigned for the Ravens to sign free agent corner Jaire Alexander.

Wednesday, Baltimore did just that.

BREAKING: The Packers' proposal to ban the tush push did not receive the required 75% support from the NFL's owners to pass, per source.

The tush push remains alive.
