Felt an autumn chill in the air, decided to draw one of my oldest OCs ever.
Meet Isaac Preston Freely or "I. P. Freely". He mainly exists to give Count Batula someone to talk to and to be another spooky, sardonic ass to Conker.

Isaac's voice claim is just Moroes from the WoW BC Karazhan raid because tbh that's probably the biggest character inspiration for him.

Oh good catch! The Shining bartender is absolutely an inspiration for him!
Other inspirations include The Simpsons version of that same character ("Now waste your family and I'll give you a beer!"), Moroes from WoW, Renfield from Dracula, and the Haunted Mansion/Tower of Terror ghost hosts.

It's perfect because it also works as a fun foreshadowing tool. If Conker has seen his name on the gravestone while going through the graveyard but then see what seems like a perfectly normal squirrel serving him wine, he might suspect that something's amiss with this mansion...

I like to imagine that a couple weeks pass in Conker's monarchy and then this guy happens to pull up in a horsedrawn carriage and a briefcase going "Alright Master Conker, are you ready to discuss the inheritance of the Conkula Estate?" and Conker's response is a "hhwhat?"

Isaac is actually based off of BOTH male zombie designs.
His face is more like the Live and Reloaded design, his clothes are more like the original design, just with more color introduced.
He looks less gory and has no hanging eyeball because he cleans himself. (or at least tries to)

He exists mainly to be a sarcastic yes-man to Count Batula and to be like "yes Master Conker, please, DO spray more gunpowder and blood in those hallways, it's not like I have to clean those later".

Conker is probably his employer now too since Batula's dead so uh...have fun with that, Isaac.

I've had this guy beating around in my head since Conker: Live and Reloaded, which was 20 years ago.
He doesn't do anything special besides be the "boss" version of a common level enemy but it's funny how little he's changed over the years.

i think people are very ready to blame xbox's current misfortunes on the xbox one without internalizing that phil spencer has had like 12 years to right the ship and his ideas were "what if we stopped trying to sell games and became a subscription service also what if we didn't ship any new games"

little known fact, but Struzan did the Spyro: A Hero's Tail coverart for whatever reason. It is the *only* cover art he painted for a (non movie IP tie-in) videogame
