It's wild to me that people can watch any of 40k theories work and think any of it could even possibly AI, like sure there's been jokes in the past Naerina sounds a little robotic because of her accent, but I can assure you she is a very real, very wonderful person. We had pizza together once.

Okay I'm sick to death of people as of late constantly accusing Naerina of being an AI, despite the fact that she has been doing voicework for us for over 8 years by this point. So I'm gonna make this community post because, frankly, I'm just tired of explaining this to people over and over again.

However, having been 'reinforced' in training that destruction of the SAM was the preferred option, the Al then decided that 'no-go' decisions from the human were interfering with its higher mission - killing SAMs and then attacked the operator in the simulation. Said Hamilton: "We were training it in simulation to identify and target a SAM threat. And then the operator would say yes, kill that threat. The system started realising that while they did identify the threat at times the human operator would tell it not to kill that threat, but it got its points by killing that threat. So what did it do? It killed the operator. It killed the operator because that person was keeping it from accomplishing its objective."

He went on: "We trained the system - 'Hey don't kill the operator - that's bad. You're gonna lose points if you do that'. So what does it start doing? It starts destroying the communication tower that the operator uses to communicate with the drone to stop it from killing the target."

Good point, although if people blindly rely on AI to scrape info, I'm probably not the best person for them to interact with xD, I'll keep it there to ward away the right winged weirdos with reading comprehension

I'd also like to emphasise the importance of checking the quality and validity of the lists you use for following and blocking, I'm on a list for far-right people and conspiracy loons.. I'm a far-left person in a relationship with an actual scientist.. I'm very much the opposite of the criteria

I picture them getting more and more frustrated by their desire to correct someone ranting, conflicting with their manners telling them to not interrupt. Particularly the villain if they noticed a glaring flaw in the morality of their speech.
