tomorrow December 2nd, the Energy+Commerce Committee is having a hearing on a package of "online child safety" bills

A number of these bills are pro-censorship and surveillance

please call their office and tell them these bill;s are dangerous and unpopular! script below!
I'm calling today to ask that the House of Energy and Commerce reconsider the hearing for December 2nd on the package of 19 bills meant for "Online Child Safety." The package itself includes harmful trojan-horse bills disguised under "Online Child Safety", which include: The House's version of KOSA COPPA 2.0 SCREEN Act RESET Act Sammy Act App Store Accountability Act GAMING Act Safe Messaging for Kids Act Parents Over Platforms Act These bills are: Massive breaches in privacy and the first amendment. Show a complete misunderstanding of how the internet and encryption works. Add more government-invasive surveillance online. Put the lives of children and the livelihoods of adults at risk. Will lead to mass censorship of legal content online and a chilling effect on the internet similar in effect to the UK Online Safety Act Are extremely unpopular and don't protect kids. Enable predators to take advantage of the established online systems to prey on children, especially those in power. Please consider rescheduling the hearing to properly assess the bills within. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile is leaning forward deeply, with her hands held to her legs out of frame. She is beaming an adorable smile towards the viewer. She is dressed in her outfit from the mini golf arc, of denim short shorts with a flower design, and a yellow cropped t-shirt with a happy sun and "It's a lovely day" written on it. Unlike in said comic, she is also wearing a long sleeved black top underneath it, and tights. The defacement done to the t-shirt at the gothic mini-golf is visible still, turning the sun into an unhappy face with X's over the eyes and extra words making the slogan "It's a lovely day to die". However additional defacement has been done over the top of that in red, attempting to turn the dead sun back into a happy smiling sun, with a red santa hat, and the text now reads "It's a lovely day to Christmas".
