Furthermore, I love how they let the pain sit with Daba and how it invokes grief, anger, and empathy within him without them directly saying anything. It adds nuance to the character that wouldn't be there if he just screamed and cried, and helps the viewer get into his emotional headspace too

I really like how L-Gaim dipped us into the subject of the genocide of the Yaman people, showing an act of shocking violence and the scars it left, before focusing on a quieter exploration of it by moving those scars into the background and letting them hang over us and our characters

One of the recurrent themes in Greta's testimony is soldiers stripping and photographing her, sexual humiliation being an out in the open policy of the IDF for years, particularly since Oct 7th. Israel torturing and sexially assaulting a bunch of foreigners should be the biggest story in the world.
