So in the first set there was some sort of animal theme happening. The second set was…ummm…I’m not really sure. Musically pretty solid?

Heads REALLY would have exploded if they played Dogs.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. Summer after 7th grade. I went with a group of 5-6 other 13 year old boys. More laughter has never occurred in one place than that night. No movie has ever been more geared at 13 year old boys.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I don’t believe in the concept of heaven and hell but if I did I’d imagine hell to look something like the inside of Boston South Station.

Listening to the second night of the Leftover Salmon Boulder run from Thanksgiving Weekend. Vince just introduced Rag Mama Rag as a Little Feat song.

Yes, they recorded a cover but come on, Vince!

Noted baseball writer Rob Neyer’s take on Greg Freeman is 100% correct. Twin Cities people: he’s playing the Entry on January 18th and, yes, tickets are extremely affordable. You should go.
I don't have much sympathy for complaints about the ridiculously high cost of concert tickets. Nobody's making anyone pay AND there are thousands of brilliant musicians working out there. Last night I saw a terrific band.

Greg Freeman.

$18

After the show he was selling merch and meeting fans.

Take it from a middle school teacher. They don’t need 37 pencils. They need at least 74.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

TIL that the hilarious Irish dude Garron with all the funny Instagram videos has an absolutely incredible singing voice. I just thought he made funny quips about Americans. 🤷‍♂️

At the long awaited new Mpls Cheba Hut. Staff here definitely fits the vibe of the Denver and Boulder locations I’ve been to many times. Hopefully the Dank will live up to the prior standard.

Raul Malo did a thing called quarantunes during the pandemic, some with the Mavericks, some on his own. He did a duet with Jamey Johnson on To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before, the old Willie Nelson/Julio Iglesias tune. It’s my absolute favorite recording of his.

I spent years saying I really need to see the Mavericks. Finally saw them for the first time a few years back. Saw them a total of three times, most recently in Cedar Rapids last spring. What a band. Raul Malo was a singular voice and talent. Never thought last time would be the last time. 😔

Tough to win a game when one of your top six players is ejected and three of your top six combine to go 4 for 26 from the field.
