We are excited to highlight tissue clearing data generated by Dr. Ian Smith at @ucirvine.bsky.social. This cleared mouse brain sample, stained for amyloid (Amylo-Glo, green) and capillaries (cyan), reveals the brain’s microvascular network and amyloid pathology in intact tissue.

New publication in @nature.com Neuroscience from our collaboration with the Olson Lab (@ucdavis.bsky.social) and the Heifits Lab (Stanford). The study demonstrates that TBG—a non-hallucinogenic analogue of 5-MeO-DMT—can promote cortical neuroplasticity without inducing hallucinogenic effects.

Heidi Fresenius is a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Irvine. Using their established antibodies and the Translucence Universal Tissue Clearing Kit, Heidi cleared ~50 µm mouse brain sections for a pilot experiment, followed by imaging on both wide field and confocal microscopes.
