Is Bandcamp trying to tell non-profit independent musicians and tiny labels to go away and join one of the emerging rival services? Is all the small change not worth Bandcamp’s time? Bandcamp grew as a fair space between creators and listeners. Now they are forcing artists to use Stripe instead of Paypall. (Elon Musk invested) Stripe is for business and to sign up they need your adress, telephone, mail, financial detail and government id/passport. What can possible go wrong?
