Anyway, we’ve really enjoyed the influx of post Katrina folks. In case nobody has pointed this out, you have absolutely enriched Portland. Thank you. We’re sorry you had to come here but super glad you came.

He does appear deeply compromised, financially, spiritually, and politically.

Nah. Good people have always outnumbered the bad ones. Never believe the hype. Always believe in your decent neighbors.

A lot of two-bit MAGA will duck consequences, I’m sure. But probably not ICE/DHS agents. Their cruelty is documented in a way unavailable in early Germany. Even if their victims die, we have digital evidence. And I will be very happy if you have to eat your shoe, but I suspect you will be too.

If anyone could meme their way through a thesis, it would be you. And it should get published.

The number of people out in the freezing rain for the naked bike ride protest in Portland suggests a level of anger has been reached. I have never seen the level of activism and mutual aid involvement that I am seeing now. It’s not flashy, but it’s grassroots and will be hard to stop.

I mean Lee Greenwood is kind of old. They might need to remind him which version of his song to sing. youtu.be/Bf3e9Cl1-Bs

A guy who had a one hit wonder, but changed to the lyrics to fit multiple countries as finances dictated. youtu.be/Bf3e9Cl1-Bs

Is it truly a one hit wonder if you change the words and sell it in another country, too? Does it then become a two hit wonder? youtu.be/Bf3e9Cl1-Bs

I love how Mike Johnson suggested Lee Greenwood with little to no awareness that the guy did stuff like this, too. Posted 13 years ago, so not AI. youtu.be/Bf3e9Cl1-Bs

Oh, hellsbells. The main reason I can guess that you decided to follow me after this interaction is for future harassment and I want no part of that. Adios.

Why would I care where you do your tours or if you are a city girl?
totoroandscience.bsky.social
This isn’t about me. You made a weird post and used homesteader settler makes me better logic. You can deflect all you want, but how long your family staked a plot in Oregon does not make you a more valid tour guide. It’s an interesting fact about you, sure.
totoroandscience.bsky.social
You’re the one who brought up how many generations your family has been in Oregon as some settler manifest destiny justification you think makes you a better tour guide than others. With zero regard about today being a day we honor indigenous peoples. You brought this to the conversation.

I’m gonna go ahead and just let you keep going because you seem set on proving my point for me. For anyone else reading this thread, areas outside of Portland are amazing and you deserve a guide who doesn’t thrive on badmouthing Portland to highlight the beauty and history of other regions.

Fourth most populous country in the world. Massive resources. Coffee. Palm oil. I’m sure everything is above board between these two, right?

But you’ll have to excuse me if I don’t defer to the validity of a person as being able to trace how many generations it’s been since their ancestors stole land from the indigenous population. I grew up in a small town full of people like this. It was unpleasant. Happy Indigenous People’s Day!
