Interesting dilemma for the Russian navy. Until now, tankers could avoid long-distance weapons by leaving the whole Black Sea between them and the Ukrainian coast.

Now that’s not sufficient any longer so two equally unpleasant options:
1) close the southern oils export route and lose billions daily
🛳️ One of the tankers of the Russian shadow fleet that burned off the coast of Türkiye - “Kairos”. Probably no longer operational.

Mark Kelly is sounding presidential.
Mark Kelly: “Pete Hegseth is not a serious person. He’s unqualified for this job. I think he is the least qualified Secretary of Defense in the history of our country by far. & this President thinks he can bully & intimidate people? He’s not gonna stop me from speaking out & holding him accountable”

And scabies has been with us continuously from ancient times.

It's also more of an infestation than skin disease per se.
Sigh. So, scabies has been around since before Aristotle. It is not a “medieval” disease and this rhetoric contributes to the idea that the Middle Ages was unclean. The Roman physician Celsus is the 1 who named it—from the Latin scabere (“to itch”). Stop making the Middle Ages into a backward period
Medieval skin disease outbreak in the UK leaves patients’ skin ‘crawling’
Several cases of scabies have been reported in schools in Devon

Look around. The case for more, not less, liberal arts education - actual, real education in reading, writing, thinking, arguing, analyzing, & synthesizing by doing the actual hard work for which there is no substitute - is stronger than it’s ever been at any point in human history.

Ever the fucking coward and stupid with it. Cute enough to grasp that second strike is indefensible but hopes his obfuscation will provide a shield.

Dumb enough not to grasp that the first strike was also indefensible.
Reporter: If there were a second strike that killed wounded people, would that be legal?

Trump: I don’t know that happened and Pete said he did not even know what people were talking about. I wouldn’t have wanted a second strike. The first strike was very lethal. It was fine.

We have to be careful with this. Jeremy Warner, who wrote the article, voted Remain and he's written a few such articles since 2016. Also, he quotes a study supporting his line of thought but in the same breath questions its credibility (to keep Telegraph readers semi-happy). It's not Saul/Damascus.

When Mark Carney sets specific goals for Canada to "diversify away" from its reliance on the US—making headlines in Canada but not the US—hear that for what it is: Close partners and allies looking elsewhere for better friends.

This is the silent way that the US loses its pointless trade war.
