Honestly I am so much more likely to offer something in return for a gift than someone trying to push a trade. I do sometimes have OC merch that I don't really sell and it becomes a good opportunity then but if it's a trade presented upfront, I get a little nervous tbh.

taking some small merch to a show you aren't tabling at is one thing (especially if you're only doing it to give it away/trade with friends you know) but my god do not do this. i haven't been to a lot of cons lately but it's always awkward to have to turn down a trade from a complete stranger!
In this economy, I really do not appreciate the increase in con attendees (not vendors) asking me if I want to trade their stickers for my merch.
It would be ONE thing if they tended to purchase from me when I reject the trade, but I think I was 0 for 10.

First KS for MX Paint got bigger than I could manage-I had no recourse. I was packing 100 boxes a day in a storage unit in freezing temps. A man named Nole with a unit 2 down from me brought over a proper table+better packing tape dispenser and told me he didn't want to see another small biz suffer.

The way the news is I'm just so scared and stressed out all of the time and it eats away at the already limited time I have to plug every hole in the boat business-wise. 🌐 I teased the idea of a Wes titan pin a while ago but I revisited the design and gave him his companions. This is one of three sets that will be preorder only and limited edition! The main banner of titan pins will also have replacements later this year :)

If you ever feel like in art you might be too heavily referencing someone else's work- as hard as rejection sensitivity is, with all the AI/straight grifts out there rn it is The Best time to just communicate with the source artist- in my personal experience it is refreshing to hear someone ask.

Magfest absolutely challenged my energy but I am so happy to have been able to even briefly chat with everyone who came by!! Magfest feels like my kind of crowd and I'm so elated to have finally been accepted, it was incredible, hope to vend or attend next year :)
