I'm continually impressed by the sound design in Silksong. It's low-key one of the standout aspects of the game for me, in a game where quality and polish are found at nearly every level.

Getting unexpected Cowboy Bebop vibes from the new roguelike game Lonestar, where you play as a bounty hunter in space. I dig this.

In the emerging genre of roguelikes that actually try to explain why they Be Like That, Blue Prince comes in hot with "it was your great uncle's dying wish for you to play this like it's a roguelike."

Just rolled credits on Blue Prince, this is a great puzzle game. But I'm feeling very mixed about whether the game needed any roguelike mechanics at all. And this game desperately needs the ability to save during runs, my last two runs were 2+ hours each.

It was cool learning how Dungeonmans' Battle Poultry skill system was in part based on SaGa Frontier's monster absorption system (Roguelike Radio Ep. 158, 43m53s). SaGa Frontier was one of my favorite games as a kid and throughout high school.

In an unexpected turn, I've basically become a fulltime mushroom farmer in Citizen Sleeper. I've stumbled into a point in the game where there's nothing I can't do with these beauties:

Food? Mushrooms.
Drink? Mushrooms.
Money? Mushrooms.
Healing? Mushrooms.

They solve all of the game's challenges.

Just started Citizen Sleeper in anticipation of its upcoming sequel, and this game rules. I want to stay up all night playing this 😅

Hey folks, I know a lot is happening right now, and it feels inconsiderate to talk about it...

But the game I spent the last 2.5 years of my life on, Hyper Light Breaker, is out today as early access. If you could check it out, it would mean a lot to me.

I love the music in 1000xResist, definitely checking out the full soundtrack once I finish the game

I haven't seen this posted anywhere except for their official discord, but Shiny Shoe says it has "no plans for content updates on the horizon" for Inkbound and is refocusing to work on a new game. Servers will remain online for the foreseeable future.

I've played a ton of The Bazaar over the past two weeks, and even though there are *a lot* of things I don't like about the game, I've been enjoying the core gameplay. But I think even more than that, every now and then I like playing a game that is popular and has an active community.

I can't get over how good the pixel art in Gestalt: Steam & Cinder is. I especially love the detail put into the backgrounds. And the game also has a stellar soundtrack!
