There's still a lot of stuff I want to do in-game so I'll be playing more over the next few days.

In SaGa Frontier, at the end of a battle your monster-type allies can absorb defeated enemy monsters, and they learn their skills and eventually transform into that type of monster, gaining its attributes

A brief summary for those curious:
In Dungeonmans, your battle poultry can eat steaks that enemies drop on death, to gain some of their attributes and learn their abilities, and this can also change what your battle poultry looks like. (Battle poultry are like pets or familiars)

Inkbound is a cool game. I can't help but wonder what the alternate timeline looks like where they didn't try to make it a live service game. For me, those elements were a distraction and detracted from the good parts of the game.

"The very short version is that Inkbound didn't manage to hit the sales numbers we needed it to for ongoing support, and that combined with the current state of the game industry put us in a place as a studio where we needed to rapidly refocus."
