For over a year, polls have put Hungary’s opposition party ahead of Viktor Orban’s. But a big lead in the polls is no guarantee of an election victory
Viktor Orban may lose his next election
He trails in polls, but the rules favour Trump’s man in Hungary

A List of Complaints from 1926

Finally moved my 'always on' pedals to the back.
Seems obvious but ridiculously it took me some time to make the change.
No more accidentally kicking in the tuner (and killing the sound mid-gig 😬) when going for a bit of overdrive as they used to be right next to each other.

So maybe we shouldn't have left the EU .. I mean, kept the burger and indeed, the napkin.

I don't think this quite conveys the message that was hoped for.

Years ago a band I play in, Loopy, put out an album called 'This Year's Evel Knievel'. I designed the cover (well, doctored an existing poster).
Perhaps against my better judgement I've put that cover on my Telecaster as the band & album are rather important to me.

Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.

Welcome to 2026. Where the world order as we knew it seems to be over. What next? Taiwan? Greenland? Balkans?

The U.K. must double down on its relationship with the EU. For it is Europe alone that is now leader of the free world.

Pretty sure FIFA will want that Peace Prize back now.
Trump confirms the US has successfully "captured" Maduro after a very strange complete lack of resistance by Venezuela.

Tremendous episode, thanks @aiannucci.bsky.social and Stewart Lee.
Good to address the dog-whistle expression of 'men of fighting age' ... or is it cooking age or voting age or buying powerful solvents age etc
Bloody funny.

A thread 🧵 of _terrible_ design decisions for the internal APIs of the two Italian high speed train operators, Italo and Trenitalia.

Hardcoded passwords, terrible translations, spelling mistakes, xml in json (but utf8 encoded and transmitted as an array of numbers), it's all here. Enjoy!

Come on Budapest!
💥“We won't tolerate!" and "Resign! Resign!” — crowds chant outside Viktor Orbán’s and president’s offices in Budapest at a weekend protest led by opposition leader Péter Magyar. He still leads the polls but Orbán has vast resources — plus Trump and Putin's backing. 4 months to go until the election.

Currently no one sat next to me so this is the only way I can work.

Quick thread on the BBC and the political and societal significance of recent developments:

One of the main reasons the UK has historically been so much less polarised than the US, is that Britain has a shared source of information, consumed and trusted by most people regardless of their politics.
