My new GOTY for the year 2025. The fantastic ending bookends a satisfying and thematic gameplay loop that all just WORKS in so many different ways. The 2D/3D artstyle and soundtrack complimented the game beautifully

A screenshot of the game. TODO list on the left side showing various tasks like giving the dog treats and packing lunches for school. There are activities that can be done listed on the bottom like Jog the Dog and Clean Bathroom. There's a bedroom modeled in colorful 3D with pixel-y sprites overlaid of the main character. A bites bar is on the top, detailing how you're doing on your diet for the day, along with a number of health meters to keep track of.

SWAT 4 (2005)

Played this and it's DLC for the first time, going "non-lethal" and solo w/out my squad. Frustrating at times with how unpredictable suspects can be, but it was otherwise a blast to play. Environments were juicy af. Obviously police fantasy, but they didn't shy away from the horror.
