The ABNDP exist to protect alberta conservatives from the left. They bleed off righteous fury and outrage in order to ensure the continuation of capitalism, reduce the efficacy of & divert resources from on-the-ground organizating, and provide cover for social murder.

So happy my colleague @ceceliablack.bsky.social is leading the conversation around wheelchair accessible housing, density and nondriver access 👇
Why Seattle’s housing density plans are a disability-rights issue
The city’s comprehensive plan would shift zoning rules to allow more multifamily and mixed-use buildings, which have accessibility requirements.

The Fed. Gov. cutting jobs is self-defeating & frankly dangerous.

They are putting Canadians at risk because of garbage neoliberal thinking that coincidently helped make the U.S. what it is today.

Private payment for health care doesn’t shorten wait times.
Decades of evidence show the opposite: when care can be bought, public queues grow longer.
Alberta's Bill 11 follows a well-worn and damaging path.

I wish it was just a straight up grant or provided at the time of purchase, because rebates only really work for folks with disposable income. Hell, while I'm at it, I wish that all levels of gov't would create and invest in universally accessible public e- (& regular) bike programs.

Friendly reminder, that Kenney uniting with these folks is the reason they're in power now. This is his fault because he cared more about winning than he cared about Alberta.

That is a new low, three of my relatives had inadequate medical care in the past two years. One required surgery for nerve damage. It was cancelled the day before. Rescheduled surgery was also cancelled. Outcome; surgery was cancelled as surgeons felt the damaged, left so long, was permanent.

A reason I love the history of lesbian turkey baster networks in the 80s (besides that I'm the product of one) is that it's a story of taking a science that always had this end goal and totally subverting it. The eugenicist origins of such ideas and technologies don't always determine their use.
