We have Hilton Rewards. As I’m sure you know, Hilton owns a lot of chains, so it’s always easy to find a hotel.

The listings aren’t always clear about amenities like free breakfast. I guess they want to sound fancier?

I’m glad I had this conversation. I had it in front of a woman wearing a “Stand for the flag, kneel on the battlefield” sweatshirt.

I don’t know if this woman will get her booster, but I did what I could in that moment.

I shared with her that I had two friends who were in remission and when they caught covid their cancer came back. She didn’t ask and I didn’t tell her the ending.

The wife really perked up at the idea that masking and vaccines was something the people could do, regardless of what the government said. She seemed ignorant about the need for her to get boosted while her husband was living with cancer.

As longtime followers from the bird site know, I do a lot of 101 work. Innocent things you can say include that the covid vaccine was developed during the Trump administration and that even he masked.

Masking when you’re sick is being a good American. China does it, it’s good for efficiency.

This wife had never really considered before that there were people who were unvaccinated because they medically could not get the shot. She acknowledged that vaccines like polio and flu work.

I opined that American citizens can’t just rely on the federal government and that getting booster shots was an act of patriotism, protecting our fellow citizens who can’t get the vaccine due to age or health status.

The CDC’s messaging in 2020 was atrocious.

I acknowledged such and explained that they gave misleading info on masks because the CDC was concerned that the national supply would be depleted to the detriment of hospital workers.

Our hosts were centrists, imo. I’d say the wife and husband lean left and right, respectively. They’re good people, shirt off their backs, earned every dollar they have people.

Husband survived 9/11 and has unresolved, untreated, and unmedicated trauma.

I can see from Googling that jaundice is a symptom, as well as weight loss. Weight loss is still frequently seen by doctors as a victory and not a warning, so any guidance you can share is appreciated ❤️

I had a lot of empathy for D’Angelo. He struggled a lot with body image. When he got buff, he was objectified to a degree that really messed with him. It was an unsustainable level of male beauty. And people love when you fall off your pedestal.

He had the talent, always.

May he rest in power.
