the Halloween gingerbread house
I first have to convince men that I'm disgusting so that they'll know that I'm "funny."

I hate the father in WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN, he's a spineless enabler. I blame Kevin on him, not the mother as much.

We’re in a moment now where it would be worth people taking three hours to watch Gandhi, particularly the scene of the salt march. There is value to making the brutality of your opponent so plain as day that no one can argue with it. The clarity of that brought down an empire
This is interesting, people use projection to ease anxiety. They can't accept or deal with certain aspects of their own personality, so they "give" that quality to others.

They pin their own flaws, mistakes, or desires on other people, using them as a psychological scapegoat.
People who tell you that it is arrogant to have an opinion want serfs. They are afraid of articulation, it's self serving drivel, devoid of reason.

It's important to have opinions, strong opinions, on all sorts of subjects. Trying to take that from you, is a person trying to squash you.

I find it fascinating and troubling that when the 🍊💩 attacked Jimmy Kimmel, the public united in outrage, fought back, and won. But when he attacks the rule of law, truth, and democracy itself, that powerful unity disappears. Why do we defend personalities more fiercely than
our democracy?

I'm more inclined to fear the religious right, authoritarians, MAGA, hypocrites, judgmental people, or people who lie about their politics.
Trying to villainize others for watching horror films is reminiscent of the Satanic Panic of the '80s. This type of behavior suggests projection and paranoia, an agenda, or something dark they're hiding.

Horror fans by far are usually the most kind and reasonable people out there.

It really is quite special that October begins with the anniversary of George A. Romero's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. What better way to celebrate the start of Halloween month than commemorating a horror film that changed the world, forever altered a subgenre, and continues to inspire generations?

Oh no. Jane Goodall has passed. Jane changed so many lives across so many species. The best remembrance is to keep fighting for the rights of all species and to center care in all relations. Plus, do go and read her early work from Gombe, it's revolutionary.
I have real leather jacket that I don't wear too much but I keep it just in case. I have to be ready for the apocalypse when I'll be forced to join a cyborg punk biker's gang or die.
