The two King Dude songs I selected are far from my favorites. I want to take a second and plug my favorite song by King Dude. It has an early The Damned vibe that is severely lacking today, and a chorus that is too catchy for its own good.

Today, I was fortunate enough to visit with my grandpa, who's in the state for a couple weeks. We share a birthday and it was wonderful catching up with him for the first time in like 6 years! We went to The Village Corner for lunch, since they just reopened.

Needed a little something to take the edge off. Wanted a Manhattan, didn't have sweet vermouth. Figured I could wing a Negroni with Cynar instead of vermouth. Decided to go wild. Wound up with old tom gin, averna, campari, a couple dashes laspang tincture, and a dash of balsamic vinegar.
