Here is the result of the printed mousepad! It turned out cozy.
Something I never shared here, was my fan art of #Hytale in 2D #pixelart style, that we printed on a mousepad for the team past year, for Christmas 😍 . This was purely my side project, so don't get too excited : There has never been a real Hytale 2D game (yet...haha)
Of course it's autumn peace... Not piece.
I won't lie, this summer was one of the toughest period I had to go through.

I called this old artwork "autumn piece"...hopefuly it's whats coming 🦊

Yeah I admit I don't know much about them. I relate because I've been laid off by Riot games recently. I believe the change will come from the people at the bottom. Industry is fucked for sure. Sharks are everywhere. but every drops of positive change will eventually form a sea of positive things.
Exactly my thoughts. It's tough atm. This is why many of us go indie and try to make their own teams, operate in a more ethical way

I guess what frustrates me is seeing what it COULD have been ( a masterpiece) and getting this thing, feels like Disney shitting on a License once again. I didn't know it was supposed to be set before Alien (1)...This is nuts, wtf!
Ok, the only concession I would make is that some creature shots are entertaining if you push it after episode 3...but it's a bit masochist to push it as far
From environment design, to acting, photography, costumes, story coherence - I think there isn't a single thing which doesn't piss me off in #AlienEarth. It's so bad, why is it so bad... Such a missed opportunity

And if you're curious this was one of my "simulations" with the Kweebec integrated in a grasslands in Legacy. The creature was posed and not animated.

This helped evaluate if textures, level of detail, values, etc. were consistent with the world

Kweebec Protector - A 3D model I made for #Hytale that we never had a chance to fully implement.

They were supposed to be older and more serious versions of #kweebecs, before they grow and eventually turn into Tree Singers
