Woo hoo, I made the leap! Allow me to introduce myself; My name is Tony and I'm a freelance Illustrator and Designer with passions for comics, film and tropical drinks.
These paperbacks were massive for me as a kid and the covers wear a huge part of that.
I have said before and will say again that it is such a loss that we no longer get covers of this caliber for fantasy books.
This art is by Jean-Léon Huens. These covers are for the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. They lit my imagination on fire as a kid.

I finished reading @jesselonergan.bsky.social‘s new GN, Drome today. Mindbending experimentation in the art and a thought provoking sci-fi story, it’s a must have.
The movement though the drawings, panels, and trajectory lines, the colours. 35 panel pages with gutters used to create depth.

Indicator/Powerhouse Films did an excellent restoration and blu-ray release of this and Santo vs. The Infernal Men (shot at the same time in Cuba) with the original Spanish language soundtracks. Probably the best release of any Santos films thus far.

So stoked to see Sisu: Road to Revenge this week. The original is an all-time action and Nazi killin‘ favorite for me, so getting another big swing form this team is insanely exciting.
