In December of 2022, the Govt of Canada offered 96,000 bottles of Australian Tylenol (the real brand) to Alberta.

It wasn’t AHS that refused.

It was the govt, saying that wouldn’t be enough.

How many bottles were actually used in hospitals?

9,000.

But I hadn't asked if I was too sensitive, only if I was more sensitive than the average person. They assumed I was insulting myself, when I was genuinely curious and neutral about it. Now I know the answer definitively.

This concept has really helped me to find #gratitude, #resilience, and #creativity in this body. Before I was #diagnosed with #fibromyalgia, I felt that perhaps I was just more sensitive than others. When I tried to explore this idea, people often rushed to reassure me that I'm not too sensitive.

Finally, Orchids are highly sensitive & less resilient, but produce unique insights & creativity with the right support. We are more likely to be Spoonies, because our bodies are so reactive. I believe we're more likely to be spiritually gifted too, as we're so closely attuned to our surroundings.

First there are #Dandelions, who have low sensitivity & high resilience, but can overestimate their hardiness. Next are #Tulips with moderate sensitivity, the majority group. They ensure the world continues moving when Dandelions overdo things & Orchids are overwhelmed, the lifeblood of society.

#Sensitivity is scorned by society, but #FlowerTheory challenges this bias. It identifies 3 groups of biological sensitivity to the environment, all of which have advantages & disadvantages. All are equally valuable.

This #sigil helps #highlysenstive #Orchids like me create #balance & #thrive.

It's totally okay if you're disabled and you struggle to find disabled joy. That is a valid feeling that is okay to access. We always talk about overcoming our disabilities or being disability warriors, sure, but there is so little discussion about just sitting with however disability feels today.
