Exasperating how the government is still asleep at the wheel on this. Is it the lack of experience in business?

I don't understand how the government can think it is a good idea to *at the same time* make our labour market more rigid, increase the statutory wage floor, increase the cost of hiring at home and overseas! Obviously you should pick at most *two* to do at any one time.

If you want a classic of the NIMBY local press genre, this is it.

This is a brownfield (ex-hard stand caravan park) site, in the very centre of Bristop, where 40% of homes will be affordable. Its basically the dream development NIMBYs demand.

And this is how work is written up.
Trees begin to be felled at harbourside site
Around 70 trees are due to be felled to make room for 166 new flats

My dad does this too with the football

My dad texted “You awake?” I said yes and asked what’s up. He responded “Can I call?” I called immediately.

He wanted to describe a highlight from the Dodgers vs. Brewers game. Dudes rock.

Biden: sounds good
theophite.bsky.social
i do not have a lot of tolerance for people whining that Netanyahu fucked Biden over in order to get Trump in office so he could do whatever he wanted. yeah. he absolutely did that. that was obvious before 10/7.

there is no person on Earth more incompetent as a foreign policy thinker than Biden

i think people are very ready to blame xbox's current misfortunes on the xbox one without internalizing that phil spencer has had like 12 years to right the ship and his ideas were "what if we stopped trying to sell games and became a subscription service also what if we didn't ship any new games"
