No cheese. But I'm stuffed. Finished off the candy yams and cornbread. Had greens, eggs, and ham. Whew.
I'm about to make some diced ham and eggs. I've got some onion and bell pepper. I think i have some shredded vegan cheese too. That with some greens and the last of the cornbread. Yum

I told you this Rx was gonna last through the rest of the year. So don't act surprised when Mercury stations direct tomorrow and it's still silly outside the rest of the month.

Threads is the worst of peak twitter. The stans are unbearable.

The outrage bait and stolen/repeat content is wild!
I’ve seen a few people say if Blue Sky gets weird they’re gonna migrate to Threads and let me tell you something…Threads is WAYYYYYYY worse than you’re imagining 😭

These black Friday deals ain't even worth breaking the boycott for. They spent allb year inflating their prices just to take 25% off? Insulting and greedy.

And by Trump you mean Stephen Miller. Whyjournalist who doesn't at the very least question who is writing these posts this is pedaling disinformation.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“

I'm so grateful that I come from a cooking family. Thanksgiving really is my favorite holiday for that reason.

I saw someone on threads say they celebrate Ancestors' Feast Day and I love that.

It's important to reorder the timeline of the story that we were taught in regards to this land. It didn't start with the Mayflower.

(un)fun fact: Juan Garrido, a free Black African, joined Spanish explorers in present-day Florida in 1513.

Then about 100 years later 20+ enslaved Africans arrived in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619.

Then a year after that in November 1620 the Mayflower arrived.

Pentecostalism has been in the Caribbean since the 1910's and 1920's HOWEVER it was a completely different brand than what you may see in Latin America today. The organizations that are fueling and funding it are groups pushing a white version of American Christianity to stop Liberation Theology

I love that I was raised Pentecostal. It's a religious tradition that maintained ritual around the ecstatic. It is a somatic spiritual practice and that's something that I hold onto even though I don't identify as a Christian and I am disappointed at what the Black church has become I'm general.

Pentecostalism is an African American religious movement. There's been whitewashing. Charles Parham a racist gets credited as being the founder (he wasn't) came to L.A. and saw William Seymour's Azusa Mission and was horrified at what he saw. especially that white people who joined a Black church.
The origins of the Pentecostal church in the US were a lot more integrated initially. But, you know, Jim Crow and shit.
