I don’t know how I’m holding it together.
I can barely do my job. Everyone there is struggling. Business is bad. I spend way too much time consuming social media. I tell Myself it’s to stay informed. But it’s in healthy. I can’t concentrate on reading or get into any shows. Which I used to enjoy.

You brought this up at a time when even more people are going anti-vax. With many critical losses to CDC & other organizations that monitor disease, I fear we will see another similar virus, perhaps one we thought we had overcome with vaccines.(ie Measles, Mumps, etc) How soon we forgot them💉⚕️

I’m speaking metaphorically when I say nobody cried. There was no real collective grief like there was on 9/11. I have a soft spot for all of the doctors and nurses and all of the horrible treatment and trauma they endured while dealing with one of the biggest tragedies in our history. 😢💔

So I had to find a sweet spot. I will stay engaged and feel like I'm handling it for a while, then I start noticing the small signs that anxiety is getting the best of me. I dip out, find something else to do, or nothing at all, and I recharge. It can be too, too, much. Please take care. 💙

I realized I couldn't do CPTSD and Trump, too. I now have a lovely therapist. I asked him if he wasn't seeing an uptick in anxiety w/ patients. He reminded me that we live where they think is going their way, thus: "What? Me worry?" and that added isolation is making it worse for US. (2)

Exquisite column, Tom. When Trump was running his 1st campaign, I was in the hospital and an extreme, horrifying, "thing" happened. Was taking years to recover, then a couple of years ago, had one even more horrific.I was already deep into CPTSD before this admin. (1)

The first time he won I had tightness in my chest, trouble breathing. I was sure it was a heart attack. It wasn’t. JUST anxiety…that lasted weeks.

The second time, I was numb.

So I get it.

I'm doing well, dear friend. My outlook on death is different than most people. My family, like many these days, is divided, especially regarding politics.
Our mental health has seriously been challenged because of trump.
